Softball Field Project

Installing artificial turf on Allen Wedel Softball Field represents a strategic investment in the long-term success of Bethel athletics. Weather-related field conditions currently limit practice opportunities and force frequent game and practice rescheduling or cancellation. Turf will provide a consistent, high-quality playing surface that enhances performance, reliability, and the overall student-athlete experience while positioning Bethel as a competitive and innovative athletic program.

WHY THIS PROJECT MATTERS

A turf field directly strengthens recruitment, retention, and scheduling reliability. Not all KCAC schools offer turf, making this a meaningful competitive advantage. Because Newton/North Newton currently has no turf field, this project also creates a new revenue-generating opportunity through community and summer rentals. Beyond softball, a turf field can support other programs such as soccer and flag football, maximizing institutional impact across athletics.
